"Author's Secrets": Music, herbs, and biodiversity for a "Spontaneous" evening of flavor and knowledge in Cilento.

A "Spontaneous" evening, featuring good music and delicious local food. This is the promise of the program for Monday, July 28th at "Segreti d'Autore," the festival conceived by Ruggero Cappuccio and directed by Nadia Baldi, dedicated to the Environment, Science, Arts, and Legality. Organized by Teatro Segreto, in collaboration with Run Film and the associations The Cult and ArticolArt, it begins at Palazzo Coppola di Valle/Sessa Cilento (Salerno) at 9:00 PM, when botanist and herbalist Dionisia De Santis will lead us, through aperitifs, stories, convivial moments, and musical performances, to the wisdom of "The Herbs of Parmenides," a journey through nature, consciousness, and healing. A poetic and philosophical narrative, accompanied by images and music, to understand, through the wild herbs of the Mediterranean scrub, the relevance and legacy of Parmenides' thought: the connection between humanity and nature, between knowledge and healing. A journey that intertwines ancient knowledge, herbal visions, and contemporary practices of caring for living things. Following this, Giuseppe Ferrazzano, founder of the NoGrano pasta factory, will discuss "Pasta, Health, and Food Biodiversity," nutritional diversity, and everyday wellness practices. Each pasta shape embodies a way of thinking about the earth, health, and conviviality. Giuseppe Ferrazzano's research—a blend of gastronomic experimentation and scientific attention—explores the richness of flavors and the nutritional cooperation that plant species can offer. From penne to pacchero, the kitchen becomes a space for reflection on food biodiversity, the variety of individual metabolic needs, and the possibility of conscious, healthy, and enjoyable eating. An evening to savor biodiversity and rediscover, in the everyday gestures of cooking, a healing process that involves knowledge and taste. A NoGrano pasta tasting will follow the second event. The music for both events will be provided by the talented Massimiliano Sacchi (clarinet), Giulio Fazio (accordion), and Marco di Palo (cello). Admission to all Festival events is by reservation. Requests should be sent to [email protected], specifying the event, the number of seats, and your name and surname. Reservations will be confirmed by email by the organizing management and are valid until 30 minutes before the performance. Four exhibitions will also be open to the public from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm throughout the festival: "Herlitzka's Room," curated by Nadia Baldi; "The Time of Waiting" by Lia Pasqualino; "Malura" by Simona Fredella; and "The Forms of the Soul" by Marina Turco. "Segreti d'Autore" has received triennial recognition from the Ministry of Culture and benefits from a grant from the Fondazione Banco di Napoli and, for the "Auteur Cinema" section, the concrete support of the Film Commission Campania.
